**Key Responsibilities**
**Recruitment & Talent Acquisition**
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled workers for positions such as equipment operators, drivers, and administrative staff.
- Recruit internationally, leading the LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment) and work permit processes for foreign workers.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of talent by utilizing online platforms and collaborating with employment agencies.
**Human Resources Management**
- Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee records.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Develop and implement HR policies in alignment with Manitoba labor laws and company objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing concerns and promoting open communication.
**Drive Company Culture & Values**
- Champion Collet Gravel’s mission, vision, and values by integrating them into HR initiatives and daily operations.
- Foster a workplace culture of safety, respect, teamwork, and excellence.
- Lead employee engagement activities to strengthen team spirit and alignment with company goals.
**Training & Development**
- Design, implement, and lead training programs tailored to operational needs, including safety protocols, leadership development, and skills enhancement.
- Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve programs to ensure employee growth and productivity.
- Collaborate with department leaders to align training efforts with strategic goals.
**Compliance & Safety**
- Ensure compliance with Manitoba employment standards and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Partner with safety officers to develop and deliver safety training programs and initiatives.
**Qualifications**
- Experience as an HR manager, recruiter, or training coordinator, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of Manitoba labor laws, employment standards, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to promote and uphold company culture and values.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs for diverse teams.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and recruitment platforms.
- HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) is an asset but not required.
