**Role**:
The Human Resource Business Partner serves as a consultant providing HR advice, guidance and support to assigned functions on a broad range of HR related issues and policies. The incumbent works on a variety of human resources activities including staffing, training, and talent management while maintaining a primary focus on employee/labour relations in support of the Labour Relations and HRBP Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Promotes sound and harmonious employee and labour relations and ensures compliance with the division’s collective agreements and relevant policies and procedures.
- Acts as the main point of contact for management of the assigned functions as well as the relevant unions.
- Supports assigned functions in achieving business goals through appropriate interventions related to labour relations, organisational development and talent acquisition.
- Participates in the preparation of negotiation mandates and acts as an employer representative at the bargaining table.
- Supports, analyses and recommends steps in the administration and resolution of grievances.
- Provides counsel to managers and other staff regarding employee relations.
- Prepares and/or reviews offers of employment, including relocation immigration papers.
- Participates in the labour needs analyses of the aerospace industry and participates in surveys required by organizations such as CAMAQ, High Tech group, University, etc., excluding compensation surveys as required.
- Creates and reviews job descriptions for assigned functions
- Provides support to the compensation & benefits manager on various projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high tech industry.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and effective analytical skills.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing hiring practices.
- Knowledge of collective agreement administration with an industrial environment and experience in arbitration/grievance process are also an asset.
- Must maintain good knowledge of labor relations data in order to interface with all levels of employee and union representatives.
- Fluently bilingual (French\English)
