**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance activities as well as recording maintenance and repair tasks.
- **Routine maintenance**: Regularly inspect equipment and machinery to assess their condition, replace worn-out parts, and ensure they operate properly
- **Cleaning**: Clean facilities and equipment
- **Supplies**: Order necessary supplies and maintain inventory
- **Proactivity**: Identify and address issues before they get worse

**Experience**
- Strong knowledge of regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for conducting thorough investigations and audits.
- The ability to effectively train others and build relationships across various levels of the organization to promote a culture of safety.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry preferred.
- Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety are preferred.
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Mechanical experience would be considered an asset.
