Contracts Administrator

Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world’s largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and experienced **Contracts Administrator **to join its dynamic and energetic team.
Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry-leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.
**Salary range**: $70,000-$75,000 (based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills).
**Responsibilities**
- Administer assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties
- Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, subcontract administration and other major matters
- Administer information programs to ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms and conditions
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Implementation of Change Management procedures
- Negotiation of Change Orders and change issues with Subcontractors
- Ensure timely and accurate contractual correspondence
- Pricing of change and delay issues
- Identify and track deliverables
- Identify and implement record-keeping to validate potential changes
- Maintain change management/issue logs and provision of summary reports
- Maintain excellent relationships with the owner, client, subcontractors and public
- Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Subcontractor Kickoff meetings
- Regular subcontractor review meetings
- Payment administration
- Schedule monitoring
- Monthly financial reporting
- Subcontract Agreement closeout
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction or related industry
- Experience dealing with change/claims management/dispute resolution issues while working on major civil construction projects
- Strong awareness of construction and contract law
- Strong business acumen
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Commitment to ethical business conduct and trusted with sensitive information
- Dynamic highly motivated individual able to interact with construction teams
- Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail
- Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple issues/tasks concurrently
- Availability to potentially work evenings, weekends and longer hours if required
