**Coordinator, Graduate Programs, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy**:
The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) is a provincial school with campuses at the University of Regina (U of R) and the University of Saskatchewan (USask). This new position will be based at the School’s USask campus. The Graduate Programs Coordinator (Coordinator) will be an integral member of the Student Success Team that serves both campuses and will work closely with external and internal partners,

**Primary Purpose**: This position provides highly effective support to students and the academic programs at the JSGS-USask campus and helps coordinate student and program matters with the School’s U of R campus.

**Nature of Work**: Reporting to the JSGS-USask Manager, Graduate Programs (Online Delivery), the Graduate Programs Coordinator is an integral member of the Student Success Team, providing high-level support to the Graduate Programs Managers, ensuring effective support to JSGS students and academic programs, and liaising with the School’s U of R campus related to program and student matters.

**Accountabilities**
- Act as the primary point of contact at JSGS-USask and in the JSGS executive suite, greeting, directing, and assisting students and guests, including answering inquiries related to JSGS programs
- Coordinate administrative components of the School’s graduate programs
- Advise students on course-related matters and ensure proper course registration is maintained (990, 992, 994, 996)
- Assist with maintaining student and program records according to University policies (DegreeWorks, Banner - Ethics, Convocation Checks) and partnership agreements
- Manage the JSGS cross-campus registration process for both campuses
- Assist with the GENI tuition assessments and course enrolments
- Ensure logistics, room bookings, and room set up for courses are complete
- Manage logístical arrangements for program residencies at USask, field schools, knowledge-sharing events, student presentations for specific courses, other student-related academic and career-related events, convocation events (such as the pinning ceremony), orientation, and other special events for students
- Enter student data and grades in the joint student progression documents (GENI, INBGC)
- Ensure GENI student transcripts are received and processed for convocation
- Assist instructors with grade entry and textbook orders
- Review and ensure course outlines are posted to Canvas two weeks prior to start of term, and take the lead on the annual review and updating of the course outline templates
- Add Blueprint to Canvas courses
- Assist with the development and implementation of an effective system for monitoring student progress and program completion
- Assist with the process for course and program changes
- Maintain School-wide schedule of important dates
- Assist with the scholarships process
- Manage logistics for student defenses and comprehensive exams
- Support recruitment efforts for all graduate programs at JSGS-USask
- Serve as back up for members of the JSGS-USask Student Success Team
- Seek out continuous process improvement opportunities
- Other duties as assigned in support of the School’s priorities and strategic plan and consistent with the primary purpose of the position

**Qualifications**

**Education**: Minimum of an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

**Experience**: A minimum of three years of experience with academic program coordination, ideally at the graduate level, is preferred. Experience in an academic environment with knowledge of university policies and procedures related to graduate studies is an asset. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, particularly international students, Indigenous peoples, and those from Northern communities, is an asset. Experience with post-academic work placement is an asset. An equivalent combination of academic experience and preparation may be considered.
