Steel Estimator

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately comprehend architectural and structural tender drawings to provide itemized take-offs for pricing
- Help negotiate final contract amounts and confirm scope of work in house with management, as well as with clients
- Purchase materials for stock inventory items
- Purchase custom fabricated items from outside suppliers (familiarity with Autocad software a benefit)
- Manage drafting of shop drawings by other personnel
- Accurately and clearly convey necessary scope of work items for various projects to AGS Steel personnel
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities and frequent changes to daily schedule

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years experience in steel fabrication estimating or project management preferred
- Computer literate to provide itemized quotations for submittal to clients, organize correspondence and relevant information on server files for current/active projects and archive finished projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
