- Provides day-to-day oversight, direction and guidance to the Authorization team and the Training and Certification Advisors. The incumbent is responsible for responding to a broad range of client enquiries
- Manages the entire Authorization stream which includes device licensing, business registration, people training and certification, and certification of inspection
- Ensures a positive image of the company and maintaining effective relationships by providing timely information to internal and external customers; building credibility with key external stakeholders; communicating and demonstrating TSSA’s corporate values; providing team leadership and direction; monitoring team performance results against established operations and productivity criteria and adhering to and promoting ethical business practices (e.g., developing and documenting policies and procedures relating to the Authorizations department)
- Manages Ontario-wide examination scheduling services, ensuring appropriate access across the province
- In consultation with program areas and external governing bodies, lead reviews of all examination database questions with a view to continuously enhance the exam banks and to ensure that all questions are relevant, accurate and meet current best practices in exam question design
- Supports the business programs in accordance with the TSS Act, Regulations, Director’s Orders, CAD amendments and documented policies and procedures
- Establishes and achieves the Authorizations departments objectives to support the corporate strategies and business plan initiatives
- Works collaboratively with the Intake and Workforce Planning teams as one team under Operations Shared Services
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert for special projects as required
