Operating as a non-profit society since 1977, Etana provides support services to adults with developmental disabilities. We work with individuals in the city of Red Deer and area, with our office located in Red Deer. Etana continues to grow with respect to the number of individuals supported and personnel and are adaptive with our services to meet the needs of each individual.
We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to provide support for an individuals in Red Deer. **This position requires working every other Saturday and Sunday Night 11 pm to 7 am. These are awake shifts.**There may be some variation in this schedule required from time to time as dictated by the individuals requirements.
You will confidently provide direct individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the personal growth, independence and increased social inclusion of individual(s). You will also ensure that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services and C.A.R.F Accreditation Standards.
- In the interest of safety, Etana has implemented significant precautions to ensure the safest workplace possible during the COVID-19 pandemic._
- _All employees of Etana are required to pass a health assessment prior to accessing the workplace._
- _Required Personal Protective Equipment provided by Etana._
**Minimum Requirements**
- High School Diploma or Mature Status
- Class 5 Driver's License, reliable vehicle and valid insurance
- 1 years Experience in Human Service Field
- Emergency First Aid Level A CPR / AED or better
- Clear Vulnerable Sector check
- Experience with personal care
**REQUIRED TRAINING** ( this _training is available through Etana)_
- Abuse Protocol/ Protection of Persons in Care Act.
- SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) name change
- Medication Administration
- Food Safe
- Rights, Roles & Responsibilities
