**BASIC FUNCTION**:To provide expertise in the area of advertising and promotion specializing in social media. To create print & social media promotional material, including website, advertising and in-house promotions, as well as company stationary, exterior sign updates and special event support.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Design advertisements for non-Home related departments
- Design ads & in-house promotional material
- Create seasonal ads and special events activities including signage
- Assist in creating & executing advertising strategy & promotional calendar
- Assisting in updating websites.
- Assist in creating company promotional items, banners, stationary & signage using approved logos & designs
- Update the exterior digital sign executed
- Increased store involvement for special store events, in store promotions & charity events.
- Some clerical duties required for various events such as stuffing envelopes, folding letters, cutting & preparing signage on an ongoing basis
- Any other marketing, advertising and promotional based tasks as required by management.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar work environment.
- Motivated, self-disciplined individual with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work unsupervised and be responsible for time management
- Team player as position works closely with retail analyst & marketing associate
- Outgoing, personable and honest.
- Experience with various artistic or graphics programs including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign A MUST
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook Express, Excel, Word, & WordPress & Wix an asset
- Skilled and experienced in photography an asset.
- Experience with social media management software Hootesuite an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
