Reporting to the Manager of Health Disciplines, the Psychological Associates provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, and consultation as part of interprofessional health care teams.

Regular Full-Time

Rate of Pay: $46.79 per hour - $58.48 per hour

Hours of Work: 30.00 hours per week

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a Master's degree in Psychology
- Registration with the College of Psychology of Ontario for independent practice as a Psychological Associate including the declared competencies to communicate a psychological diagnosis and to treat with psychotherapy
- Five (5) years of recent releated experience, experience working in a hospital setting (preferred)
- Advanced recent experience with psychological assessment and treatment of patients with complex mental health and medical problems
- Proficient experience with psychotherapy (controlled act) with patients with complex mental health and medical problems
- Advanced ability to diagnose learning disabilities, neuropsychological or psychologically-based neurotic, psychotic, or personality disorders
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of relevant Ontario legislation (e.g., Mental Health Act, PHIPA, HCCA)
- Demonstrated advanced ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships
- Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC?s Vision, Purpose and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Teaching, Learning and Research
