Production Associate

**The Role** Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Associate is responsible for: - selecting and packaging all finished products. Ensure that all packages are correctly labelled and have the correct number of pieces required. Always have safety in mind while performing duties. - Operate different types of packaging equipment and know all associated safety procedures of each piece of equipment: - Automatic and manual baggers, - Roll up machine, - Mulcher, - Bag Sealers - Other production equipment as required. - Keep packaging area in a neat and tidy condition on a continual basis. - Always be aware of the potential for product jam-ups and inform the qualified personnel. - Maintain a basic knowledge of the go packer position in order to provide relief on a short-term basis. - Assist with cleaning on P.M. days. - Perform other related duties that may be assigned by supervision. Weekend premium $0.30 / hr. PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to spend a significant amount of time on plant floor. - Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair climbing, lifting, and entering confined spaces. - Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards **Requirements**: - Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends and on-call - Minimum grade 12 education and some post-secondary education preferred - Must be a team player - Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner - Able to learn to operate automated plant manufacturing equipment - Must be able to interact, communicate and work effectively and professionally with all employees and management staff in a team-oriented environment. **About Us** About CertainTeed Through the responsible development of innovative and sustainable building products, CertainTeed®, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has helped shape the building products industry for more than 110 years.
