**Behaviour Matters**

We are _Mental Health Therapists_ and _Industry Leaders_ in the development of _Social Skills, Emotional Regulation_, _Self Esteem_, and overall _Mental Health _and _Wellness_.

Behaviour Matters is seeking individuals to work part-time (weekend and evening availability is a must) as a Child and Youth Worker focusing on social skills/emotional regulation group facilitation for children and teens.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, solution-focused, takes initiative, a team player, organized, confident, collaborative and has excellent written, verbal and people skills.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Co-plan and co-facilitate small group sessions in office, as well as community workshop as needed
- Communicate with upper management regularly on group updates
- Provide individual behavioural and emotional support and redirection to clients when necessary
- Lead small group activities, games, art activities, and discussions and adapt to groups needs
- Communicate with parents and provide feedback on child/teen progress through the group
- Document group members progress after each session is completed
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Experience in report writing and treatment planning
- Experience in de-escalation techniques
- Maintain open lines of communication with co-facilitator, Program Director, and Clinical Director regarding client progress, parent questions/concerns and communication with outside agencies

**Job Qualifications**:

- Education - (degree or diploma in related field - CYC, SSW ECE, ABA social work)
- Must have experience working with children in small group settings, experience working with teens is an asset
- Must have experience working with children/teens with behavioural and/or emotional exceptionalities (ADHD, ASD, GAD, LD)
- Must have valid Police Record Check
- A car and drivers license in a bonus for community workshops

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

Work Location: In person
