Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise the production crew and monitor productivity and efficiency of department to ensure that the production schedule and customer delivery schedules are met in an efficient and effective manner
- Assign work, prioritize work and ensure employees follow direction given regarding safe work practices
- Maintain shift and department employee headcounts at the level established by management
- Ensure department is consistently producing a high quality product and inspect quality and procedures on an ongoing basis
- Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times and all workers know and understand the Brandt safe work practices including their responsibility to ensure all Brandt employees are working in a safe manner
- Work with operations and shop management to establish areas and needs for continuous improvement
- Assist the Operations and Shop Managers in creating and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills**:
Required Experience
- Must be able to perform all assembly functions at an acceptable standard level
- Must be able to read and understand shop drawings
- Knowledgeable in the use and operation of all hand power tools
- Must be able to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
- Has knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment under this classification
- Capable of working under minimum amount of supervision
- Able to effectively communicate in both technical and user-friendly language when appropriate, with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
