**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the healthcare process by performing laboratory tests that assist in diagnosing and treating patients. You will work in a fast-paced medical clinic environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.

**Duties**
- Conduct various laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labelling and documentation.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and healthcare staff.
- Follow established protocols for quality control and assurance in laboratory processes.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in laboratory techniques.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.

**Qualifications**
- An associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field is required.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience with phlebotomy techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hospital laboratory operations and protocols is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Phlebotomy: 1 year (required)
- Clinical laboratory: 1 year (required)
- Patient care: 1 year (preferred)
