Our Bedford manufacturing facility produces Innovasea marine electronic products used by researchers worldwide in their quest to understand aquatic animal behavior, and innovative environmental monitoring and control products used in the aquaculture industry. Our Production team contributes to our company’s success through advanced manufacturing methods, teamwork, and a commitment to operational excellence.

**Role and Responsibilities**

We are seeking a full-time **Production Technical Lead.**

Reporting to the Director of Production, the Production Technical Lead must be an excellent communicator and work well within a team environment. The Production Technical Lead will be responsible for daily organization of orders, introduction of new products, personnel training, and quality assurance at the various stages within the Fish Passage line.
- Plan and manage fish passage transmitter build schedule to ensure we have sufficient raw parts and partially built inventory to meet peak demand.
- Plan daily builds and assist with kitting and inventory control throughout the process.
- Work closely with the Production Office Administrator to ensure customer orders are shipped on schedule.
- Work with Production Engineering to transition new products into the Production environment, ensuring that all processes are safe, stable, and well-documented in standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that quality and safety standards are consistently met. Perform quality assurance and product inspection at all critical steps. Identify problems, track trends in product failures, and report them
- Provide technical support to the Fish Passage team. Identify areas where equipment and jigs need improvement, documentation needs updating, or staff require training.
- Ensure employees receive and maintain all necessary training related to safety, chemical handling, and the assembly processes that they perform.
- Ensure health and safety standards and procedures are always followed.
- Coach, facilitate and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings and ensure staff report for work on time.
- Continue to learn and implement Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Participate in leadership training courses.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Experience in electronic manufacturing or electronic design.
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be an effective communicator and have strong writing skills.

**Education**

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Data analysis and reporting
- Manufacturing automation experience
- Some knowledge/familiarity with automated testing, control, and programming is an asset.
- Intermediate to Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10.
- Basic Syspro/ERP experience is an asset.
