**Overview**

The Packaging Operator is responsible for carrying out packaging tasks to ensure high quality product and efficient processes.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform all tasks associated with packaging (kegging, canning, 6-packing, shrink wrapping, pasteurization, palletization) to meet production and shipping schedules.
- Ensure accurate data entry and record keeping.
- Maintain equipment as well as identify any deficiencies and inform the Production Manager
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain equipment reporting any deficiencies to the Senior Packaging Operator.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Troubleshoot any operational problems that may occur in the packaging process, escalating to the Senior Packaging Operator as appropriate and necessary.
- Monitor packaging materials inventory levels and inform Production Manager at minimum quantity thresholds.
- Unload and load shipping and receiving, as well as check orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in other areas of production to maintain brewing schedule.
- Clean, sanitize and organize workspace, including production and inventory areas, and equipment.
- Participate in ensuring a healthy and safe workspace and product.
- Other related duties as may be assigned.

**Qualifications**
- One year of brewing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mechanical aptitude to work with different and new brewing equipment.
- Equipment troubleshooting ability.
- Willingness and ability to learn new job skills.
- Forklift operating experience an asset.
- Excellent teamwork, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet, and work within tight and changing deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team environment collaborating and working towards a common goal.
- A passion for craft beer.

**Working Conditions**
- Production floor with a variety of brewing and packaging equipment.
- Fast paced environment.
- Flexible availability for work hours - evenings/weekends.
- Lift heavy objects (including cases of beer, kegs, equipment) up to 140 lbs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
