At Aviva, we’re looking for a Product Analyst to join us on a 6-month contract to help shape and support the development of digital products that make a real difference in the lives of Canadians.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in business analysis, who’s comfortable working across teams to gather requirements, map processes, and translate business needs into actionable insights and product improvements.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements and translate them into clear product features and user stories.- Conduct current-state analysis and process mapping to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for digital solutions.- Support the development of business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and impact assessments.- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to align teams and clarify objectives.- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to ensure business needs are accurately reflected in product design and delivery.- Help define and track KPIs to measure product performance and business impact.- Assist in backlog grooming and prioritization, ensuring alignment with business goals.- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and help validate solutions that meet business and user expectations.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a business analyst or product analyst role, ideally supporting digital product development.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—you’re comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data.- Excellent communication and facilitation skills—you can bridge the gap between business and technical teams.- Experience writing user stories, process documentation, and functional specifications.- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
