(CAN), Hybrid** **Position Summary** Thales requires a **Project Procurement Manager (PPM)** who is responsible to provide efficient and cost effective value added purchasing support. The **PPM** is responsible for supporting procurement activities that are part of a bid, project or product delivery. Within the integrated team, the PPM represents and promotes the Procurement organization. In their role, the PPM provides the best procurement solution (competitiveness, quality, on-time delivery), fulfilling the customer needs and aligned with Thales Procurement strategy led by the Global Category Managers (GCM). To this end, and to introduce supplier innovations to our solutions, the PPM plays a key role in the early stages of bids, projects and/or product/service delivery activities. **Key Areas of Responsibility** -Develop and maintain the project procurement strategy using input from customer’s tender and prime contract documents as well as input from stakeholders: Project Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance; -Challenge the acquisition needs and requirements to promote design to cost analysis with the suppliers, during the definition phase of the solution, in order to increase the competitiveness of the solution; -Create work packages, including all required information to enable an RFQ/RFP (statement of work, delivery schedules, budget, etc.); -Assign work packages to relevant Category Manger / Category Buyer; -Manage the development of the supply chain architecture to meet needs of the project with support from Regional and Global Category Management; -Coordination of Sourcing/Contracting activities in support of the proposal as defined in the Purchasing Project Plan; **Minimum Qualifications** **Education**: - College Diploma (Supply Chain) Skills and Abilities: - 10 years as Procurement professional - Procurement Management or ISM certifications; - Previous experience in the Defense Industry If you’re excited about working with Thales, but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community **What We Offer** - Thales provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 24 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following: - Company paid Extended Health, Dental, HSA, Life, AD&D, Short-term Disability, Cancer Care Program, travel insurance, Employee Assistance Plan and Well-Being program. - Retirement Savings Plans (RRSP, DCPP, TFSA) with a company contribution and a match to a DCPP, with no vesting period. - Company paid holidays, vacation days, and paid sick leave. - Voluntary Life, AD&D, Critical Illness, Long-Term Disability. - Employee Discounts on home, auto, and gym membership. **Why Join Us?** Say HI and learn more about working at Thales _click here_._ LI-Hybrid LI-PD1 This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
