CNC Operator - Beam-Line

Garneau Manufacturing Inc. an established Fabrication company in Morinville is currently looking for a full-time CNC Operator. The position is primarily a Monday to Friday day shift position with a focus on the operation of our Beam-Line Drill machine. Employees must have their own means of transportation and hand tools.

Education, Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Fabrication environment is preferred, but not required.
- Must have a willingness to learn new things and adapt to a changing work environment.
- Must be able to read and understand written planning and following verbal instructions.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
- Must have an acute attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.
- Computer literacy.
- Reading and interpretation of blue prints.
- Must have a ‘safety first’ attitude in and out of the shop.

Duties Include:

- Planning machining through customer work orders, blueprints and specifications provided by Project Management.
- Calculation of requirements to ensure correct materials are selected and products are dimensionally correct.
- Operating each unit in the shop (band saw, drill, plasma table, etc.)to ensure metal is cut/drilled to required specifications.
- Operation of the overhead crane is an asset.
- Adherence to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintenance of equipment by completion of minor preventative requirements, keeping a clean work environment and following manufacturer’s instructions.
- Maintenance of safe operations by adhering to safety processes and procedures.
- Regularly communicating with supervisor and foremen to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
