**What you’ll do**

As the Fund Development Manager, you will spearhead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors across individual, corporate, and foundation sectors. Your primary focus will be to nurture donor relationships, ensuring a donor-centric approach while liaising between donors, Charitable Impact, and Cause Funds leaders. With a portfolio management emphasis, you will champion an exceptional donor experience, promoting transparency of fund utilization and impact achieved. Collaborating closely with the Cause Funds team, you will innovate new fundraising initiatives and manage diverse projects from various stakeholders.

**We are a hybrid office, with team members working from home and in the office. This role requires in-office attendance 1-2 times per week and availability during the Pacific Standard Time zone business hours.**

**Your responsibilities**
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors and prospects including individuals, corporations, and/or foundations
- Develop, manage, and nurture a portfolio of donor contacts
- Maintain a donor-centric outlook, advocating for and being the liaison between donors, the Cause Funds team, and other parties
- Provide exceptional service and support to ensure an excellent donor experience with Charitable Impact’s Cause Funds and platform
- Provide exceptional donor stewardship and transparency on the use of their funds and the impact that is being achieved
- Track and regularly report on donor prospecting and relationship building
- Promote Charitable Impact’s Cause Funds program for engaged donors
- Work closely with the Cause Funds team to develop and pilot new fundraising initiatives
- Manage special projects and requests from various stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Perform required administrative duties

**What we're looking for**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, arts, social sciences, humanities, communication, public policy, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years direct fundraising experience in the charitable sector, with strong experience working closely with donors
- Proven track record of success with donor prospecting, relations, stewardship and recognition
- Experience managing a donor pipeline and portfolio of donors, with experience in doing face-to-face meetings
- Solid understanding of fundraising principles, and interest in/exposure to new and innovative fundraising practices
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, ability to understand and synthesise complex ideas, and confidently interact with different audiences
- Self-motivated, organised, systematic and able to prioritise, schedule and perform complex tasks on time and with mínimal supervision
- Nuanced understanding of the dynamics within the charitable sector

**Bonus points**
- Strong knowledge and experience with charitable giving law and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) tax rules as it relates to charitable giving

**Compensation**

The expected starting salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000/year.
