EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Booking Clerk to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care

**The Role**:
The Booking Clerk works collaboratively with the Booking team and other modality staff to coordinate a superior patient experience.

**Reporting to**:This position directly reports to the Booking Call Center Supervisor

**Role Overview**:

- Performs various booking functions and ensures that physician requirements and patient needs are met in an efficient manner;
- Manages large numbers of inbound calls;
- Ensures that all telephone calls are answered promptly, consistently exercising utmost diplomacy and tact, to ensure exceptional service to both patients and physicians;
- Listens effectively to patients’ needs and provides exceptional patient care at all times;
- Completes data entry for patient’s demographics and appointment information according to EFW procedures;
- Demonstrates EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace;
- Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures as they relate to EFW, our patients and our employees;
- Undertakes other related duties as assigned.

**You have the following**:

- Fluency in English - written and oral;
- Experience in a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) environment is a strong asset;
- Medical Office Assistant diploma including completion of a recognized medical terminology course is a strong asset;
- Previous call center experience, along with booking radiology and diagnostic imaging appointments would be an asset;
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to give clear instructions and ask probing questions in a caring manner;
- Logical, analytical and critical thinking required;
- Customer focused and adaptability to different personality types;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment along with proven resilience in difficult situations;
- Ability to learn new computer programs quickly and efficiently;

**Schedule**:Booking Clerks work Mondays to Fridays in a call centre environment that requires prolonged periods of sitting and frontline patient interaction over the phone. Booking Clerks are required to work the occasional Saturday shift on a rotational basis.
