If you have a passion for construction and the homebuilding industry, then Excel Homes is the perfect fit for you **The Role** A **Labourer **works alongside the Site Assistant and Superintendent to assist with general labour tasks including lifting, digging, and general job site clean-up. **The Responsibilities** - Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas - Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, in various weather conditions - Digging, lifting, and moving equipment and material as required - Provide general clean up and ongoing maintenance of the job site - Removing/sweeping rubble and other debris at construction sites. - Shovel snow on job site, when needed - General understanding of basic hand tools and the ability to use them - Assure the general cleanliness and safety of the construction site - Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned **Now** **Let’s Talk About You** - Adaptable and flexible personality, able to react to change in a positive way - A problem solver who brings a "can do" attitude to work each day - Ability to build and maintain workplace relationships and resolve conflicts - Proven ability to demonstrate courtesy and respect in the workplace **Our ‘Must Haves’** - High school diploma preferred. - Must be able to lift minimum 55 lb. - Must have a valid Alberta driver’s license - Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions - Safety first mentality - Knowledge of a variety of tools - Physically capable of performing construction work **Bonus Points** - Safety training courses - PHBI Courses Excel Homes is an established new home builder, building in Edmonton, Calgary and the surrounding communities.
