Your Typical Day Working At Ascend: ✔ Perform fitness evaluations ✔ Develop safe and effective individualized health and fitness programs for our clients, including those with injuries and limitations ✔ Prepare for, and clients through their personalized program ✔ Providing feedback and coaching to help our clients create a positive and sustainable lifestyle change ✔ Ongoing education for yourself ✔ "Out of the box" activities such as planning workshops, hikes, or anything else to create an amazing experience for our members **Qualifications**: ✔ Current Personal Trainer Certification. We strongly value a degree in Kinesiology ✔ Able to work mornings, evenings and weekends ✔ Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification is required and must be maintained through employment Core Competencies: ✔ High standards - Expects personal performance and team performance to be nothing short of the best. ✔ Ability to coach - Be a strong, active listener, show that you care and to hold space to allow clients to share what is really going on. Hold clients accountable and challenge their beliefs. ✔ Have the drive to be your best. Consistently takes action to better yourself, learn, grow and be the best coach you can be. To be willing to get out of your comfort zone. ✔ To think outside the box. Keep the goal the goal but adjust to change, and to evaluate what isn’t working, and do something about it. ✔ Attention to detail.
