**Promotions & Merchandising Associate**

The measure of success of the Promotions and Merchandising Associate is to ensure that flyer purchasing, promotional events, and merchandising are executed in store with a high level of precision. They do this by ensuring excellent standards across flyer and market buying, implementation of in-store promotional materials and visual merchandising. They achieve this result by:

- Managing promotional purchasing and drives flyer productivity
- Utilizes Data analysis and sales & product trends extensively to create informed decision buying decisions.
- Merchandising store layouts, seasonal displays and product launches according to company standards.

**Responsibilities**

**Promotional Ordering**
- Review and manage weekly flyers, rebuys, RSC events.
- Utilizes data to formulate flyer buys (Store Comp, IIP, Overbuy/Underbuy)
- Updates order points and new prod notes as required.
- Review flyer overbuy and underbuy and take appropriate action
- Communicate flyers to key department persons in advance of order review
- Maintain flyer spreadsheet & adds flyer file to company drive
- Reviews weekly HHSL reports - Backorder, Canceled By Dealer, Canceled By Home, Currently Not Available, Sold Out For Season.
- Takes action as required to update POS
- Run daily sales reports to monitor sales trends and promotional activity
- Complete RSC signage
- Review flyer signage to ensure signage is not missing
- Create signs as needed for pallet positions in yard during seasonal relevance

**Merchandising**
- Power Aisle Planning
- Work alongside Assistant Store Manager to ensure a neat and well presented power aisle that is seasonally relevant.
- PAMP Compliant (Dump Bins, pallet drops, impulse, signage)
- Adherence to Crompton’s Housekeeping Standards
- Adherence to Crompton’s Sign Standards
- Execute merchandising of end caps and side panels
- Execute seasonal changeovers
- Merchandising analytics - understanding how to use the POS system to merchandise
- Merchandising accessories maintenance - Review hooking, binning, shelving etc as required and orders more as needed. Ensures that merchandising components are stored in an organized manner.
- Ensure overstock and Price Buster staging areas are organized and free of clutter.

**Purchasing**
- Analyze sales and inventory data to create replenishment orders for key vendor direct accounts
- Maintain Vendor direct spreadsheet

**Receiving**
- Review Dealer receiving reports to plan for truck day and provide direction for staff as needed for large volume orders, price busters etc.
- Assist with putting away stock on truck days
- Assist with offloading truck, receiving/scanning truck as needed
- With assistance from merch crew take the lead in creating a neat & organized upper mezzanine section
- Complete a twice a year reset after spring/winter changeover
- Maintain an organized merch accessories area

**Other**
- Attend Markets for essential bookings, new and seasonal items
- Complete data entry for market orders
- Work with Assistant Store Manager to develop plans for seasonal changeovers (Spring/Summer & Christmas)
- Must have the ability to work the service desk when scheduled
- Work with Assistant Store Manager to develop and execute a new merchandising communications forum for staff

**Qualifications**
- Has a strong knowledge of home improvement products
- Possesses excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Spatial creativity - Ability to construct an aesthetically pleasing display
- Retail-minded - Able to work closely with customers in a positive manner
- Ability to work a Saturday rotation

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
