We are a family owned business that brings unique Artisan ice cream and desserts since 2020 We are currently growing and opening a retail space in Burnaby.

We are in need of passionate Pastry and Ice Cream Artisan to join our team immediately If you love ice cream and all things sweet, have experience working in a commercial kitchen, have a keen eye for detail and are ready to contribute to a growing business, this job is for you

This is a seasonal position with an opportunity to grow.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Baking, prepping and portioning ice cream toppings such as chocolate, cakes, cookies, honeycomb toffee, etc.
- Baking and assembling of ice cream sandwiches.
- Baking, assembling and decorating of ice cream cakes.
- Pastry production and decoration of other complementary desserts using techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping.
- Maintain high attention to detail during preparation and strive to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Be a creative, curious learner and innovator, that can follow structured recipes.
- Be highly knowledgeable about our ingredients and take accountability for your results.
- Labelling and packing pint jars, ice cream sandwiches and other product offerings.
- Batch prepping for ice cream bases
- Maintaining a clean and FoodSafe kitchen
- Equipment set up, maintenance, tear down, and cleaning
- Moving and organizing inventory via FIFO
- Receiving inventory deliveries and checking for quality.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Repetitive tasks.
- Able to stand for 5+ hours
- Comfortable with physical work, lifting up to 50lbs.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled or graduated from a Baking and Pastry culinary program.
- Minimum 2 years of baker, pastry cook or similar experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Have a positive attitude with a passion for quality and efficiency.
- A curious innovator, always looking for new ideas and aware of current trends.

- A team player, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Able to work Tuesdays to Fridays, some weekends as required.
