**Quality Specialist - PSP**
**Job Summary**:
Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a Quality Specialist - PSP. This is a contract position.
**What You Will Do**:
The Engineer's responsibilities include but are not limited to:performing root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem-solving tools (Kepner-Tregoe, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments, etc.) recommending and implement cost-effective permanent corrective actions. The Engineer will analyze quality data from internal and external indicators, manage engineering changes working with a cross-functional team to ensure timely execution. The Engineer will conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation and will be the point of contact for engineering quality and all product-related incidents.
The Engineer will ensure delivery of third-party quality metrics, provide creative thinking to the analysis of data and the identification of new opportunities. The Engineer must have a proven track record of developing and executing standardization and experience with having cross-functional responsibilities in a lean organization. The Engineer will plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment. The Engineer must have strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership. The Engineer will establish partnerships both internally and externally should be able to influence without direct authority. The Project Quality Manager Specialist must show commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer, represent the Voice of the Customer to the platform teams and contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles. The Project Quality Specialist will demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements and exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results.
**Basics**:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Reactive Black Belt and Green Belt training and completed projects.
- A minimum of 10 years of Powertrain Manufacturing or Engineering experience.
- A minimum of 5 years Powertrain Quality experience.
- Thorough understanding of Engines & Driveline components.
- Thorough understanding of Our Client´s Quality and Supplier Operations.
- Thorough understanding of structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Ability to stand and be on your feet long periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
- We are looking for doer, a person that is hands on.
- Knowledge and capable in the usage of Office excel and power point.
- Self-oriented.
- 100% onsite position.
- No driving of a vehicle required.
- Some travelling will be required (0-20%).
**Preferred**:
- Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
- Experience launching engine programs.
- Manufacturing, design release, and or supplier quality experience.
- Knowledge of engines, transmissions, and driveline components.
- Experience working in a lean/flat organization with cross functional skills.
- Work with internal teams to develop and implement integrated content required to drive growth and maximize customer value.
- Provide creative thinking to the analysis of data and the identification of new opportunities.
- Ability to lead without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build partnerships both internally and externally.
- Capable of planning and prioritizing including the ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and create action plans.
- Experience and ability to follow ISO/TS16949 and APQP processes to launch and monitor engine manufacturing.
- This person is by nature a risk-taker and has a high level of ambition. Of equal importance, this person must have unquestioned integrity.
