Specific Accountabilities:

- Work with the Research teams to develop chemistry formulations and complete research projects
- Lead, conduct and help with research activities including literature review, data analysis, development and experimentation in collaboration with researchers and industry partners
- Responsible for direct development and maintain accurate reports
- Communicates and updates industrial partner on progress and any changes to project deliverables
- Support with analysis and design of projects: design, implementation, installation, calibration documentation
- Provide consultancy support to partners, industry representatives for development of new projects
- Prepares technical reports and presentation for research partners
- Lead a group of students and graduates on research projects
About the Position:
As member of the Research & Innovation department the Chemist - Research Scientist will conduct applied research projects in collaboration with industrial partners. They will be responsible for completion of project within timelines and on specification to project scope. This position will be main contact for industrial partner on completion of the project.

This is an RPT support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Research Operations working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $41.96/HR.
Qualifications:

- 3 year Bachelor Degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Post Graduate Diploma, Masters or Ph.D. in relevant field or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience with chemical formulations
- Ability to work with hazardous substances
- Ability to work on many projects at once
- Well organized
