**What we are offering**:
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Operate and control the equipment safely in changing ground conditions
- Work in tight work areas and in proximity of workers, underground utilities, overhead power lines and the public
- Perform safety, maintenance, or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill tanks
- Inform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenance
- Provide safe operation of equipment

**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience operating heavy duty equipment including excavators and or graders
- Previous experience of around live services

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
- Must be able to take direction from superiors and work with mínimal supervision
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) and teamwork skills are required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required
- Valid safety tickets are assets
- Good hand-eye coordination is required
- Ability to follow instructions and make good decisions is required
- Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner
- Must have experience in hand signals and radio communication
- Ability to handle emergency situations and manage work pressure and stress
- Must have an acute awareness of surroundings including under, above and around you
