**JOB SUMMARY**

The NEW Courtyard by Marriott Burlington is currently looking for Part-time Bistro Associates. The newest hotel to the Burlington/Oakville region features 135 guestrooms and suites with 1800 sq. ft of flexible meeting space, indoor salt-water pool, state-of-the-art fitness centre, and on-site Bistro Restaurant/Lounge/Patio.

**Responsibilities**
- Taking accurate orders and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations.
- Complete restaurant opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools.
- Cleaning all equipment areas, locking equipment doors, etc.
- Prepare food, coffee and other beverages.
- Work in all F&B areas, including busing, cleaning and resetting tables.
- Follow all policies, procedures and rules as stated in the Hotel emergency procedures.
- Deal with guest requests in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner.
- Maintain standards of punctuality, uniform and personal hygiene as required by Hotel policy.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Required Skills**:

- Prior experience with Starbucks, Micros, banquets, catering and hotel is strongly preferred.
- Smart Serve certified required.
- Food Handler certification preferred.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- General knowledge of food and food preparation techniques.
- Able to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to understand both oral and written English.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
