Working closely with scientists, engineers, and technical teams, you would provide expert radiation safety guidance and support safe access to radiation-controlled areas. The role also contributes to radiation protection instruction and training initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for you to build specialized expertise, work alongside leading researchers, and make a meaningful impact at Canada’s national particle accelerator facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist senior group members in providing radiation protection training
- Operate advanced radiation protection instrumentation and interpret data
- Configure, calibrate, and maintain personnel dosimetric instrumentation

- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential to excel in this position.
- A basic knowledge of radiation protection and its associated quantities and units, principles of radiation dosimetry, and a general understanding of gamma spectroscopy and related electronics are required.
- Laboratory experience and a deeper understanding of radiation phenomena and it's interaction with matter are considered assets.
- Knowledge in instrumentation, physics background and previous experience in OH&S would all be considered assets for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
