NAIT’s Advanced Plumbing Diploma program is currently recruiting an instructor who is an energetic leader, committed to student success, and has outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Have strong technical knowledge in advanced plumbing;
- be able to work both independently and within a team environment;
- bring passion, enthusiasm, and ideas that will positively contribute to the advancement and growth of the program and the culture of our collaborative and dynamic team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory and industry setting
- Participating in curriculum development, program reviews and course reviews
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials
- Manage instructional delivery and set the tone and climate for a safe and effective learning environment
- Deliver instruction both in class and online
- Create assessment tools to evaluate the learning process and maintain progress records
- Provide early and on-going coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success and retention
- Respond to student issues
- Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications and program promotions
- Maintenance and/or submission of program/student records accurately and promptly
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners
- Utilize regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement
- Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma
- Completion of an Alberta journeyperson certificate in plumbing obtaining a red seal and a b class gasfitter ticket required
- Minimum of 5 years of recent industry experience post journeyperson (with preference given to those actively working in the trade)
- Additional journeyperson certificates considered an asset
- Additional plumbing-related coursework and/or credentials would be considered an asset
- Teaching experience an asset
- Completion of (PTE120) Becoming a Master Instructor coursework would be an asset

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

**Remuneration**: Instructor salary grid $65,218.00 - $113,452.00 annually. However, starting salary for new hires averages between $78,998.00 - $85,889.00 annually based on education and experience with room for negotiations. (Classification - Instructor).
- This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement._
