Location: Blackshop Restaurant and Wine Bar, Cambridge, ON

Hours: Monday - Friday and occasional weekends

Role and Responsibilities:

- Maintain all communication for event bookings and communication with the Senior General Manager and management team
- Ongoing maintenance of large party supplies and private party rooms
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service on and off the phone ie: schedule reservations and complete take-out orders
- Greet customers with a clear, friendly voice, along with a professional demeanor
- Responsible for receiving payments (cash, checks, and credit card payments) from customers
- Manage the flow of guests in the restaurant
- Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

- Completion of High School
- Previous experience working as an event coordinator/planner mandatory
- Strong communication skills, professionalism and maturity
- An organized and professional hospitality ambassador
- Commitment to driving the Blackshop brand and maintaining the restaurant's reputation
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Above average computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail is necessary
- Comfortable working on your feet and ability to lift 25 lbs
- Valid G Driver's License and acceptable driving record

**Salary**: $17.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Event Planning/Coordination: 1 year (required)
