Archaeology Field Technician

Your Opportunity
As part of our Environmental Services team, the Archaeology group has an opportunity for seasonal Field Labourers /Technicians based out of our Thunder Bay and Hamilton ON offices.
Field work will often require travel within Ontario, including working out-of-town with overnight stays for both short and long durations.
You will be a part of our archaeological field team that will complete field work. As a seasonal employee your start date and end dates will vary by season.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of licensed archaeologists, the successful applicant(s) will assume responsibility for carrying out Stage 2-4 archaeological field work.
Requirements, Capabilities and Credentials
- Must have past work experience with physically demanding outdoor labour.
- Applicants must be able to travel within Ontario and able to work out-of-town and overnight for both short and long durations.
- The ability to carry out strenuous field work is essential.
- A full G driver’s license in good standing is preferred, and licensed drivers may be required to drive company vehicles as part of their work.
Education and Experience
- Current undergraduate or graduate students in anthropology or archaeology are encouraged to apply, but not a requirement.
- Field work will include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
