**We’re Hiring Coaches for Summer Camp 2025**

**Job Summary**:
As a **Summer Camp Coach**, you’ll lead and instruct camp participants in sports activities, with opportunities to specialize in coaching a specific sport (e.g., basketball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, etc.). This role is perfect for passionate, skilled coaches who want to focus on their expertise while creating a fun, high-energy environment for campers to develop their skills. You’ll design sport-specific drills, run skill-building sessions, and foster teamwork and sportsmanship—all while ensuring safety and engagement.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Lead Sport-Specific Sessions**: Plan and coach dynamic, skill-focused sessions in your assigned sport(s), tailoring instruction to different age and skill levels.
- **Teach Fundamentals & Advanced Techniques**: Break down sport-specific skills, strategies, and rules to help campers improve.
- **Organize Games & Drills**: Design drills, scrimmages, and challenges to reinforce learning while keeping it fun and competitive.
- **Demonstrate & Correct Techniques**: Model proper form, provide feedback, and help campers refine their abilities.
- **Ensure Safety**: Enforce camp safety guidelines, supervise activities, and prevent injuries.
- **Manage Equipment**: Maintain and organize sport-specific gear, ensuring everything is ready for daily sessions.
- **Build Team Spirit**: Encourage teamwork, fair play, and confidence in campers.
- **Communicate with Parents**: Share progress, highlights, and any concerns with families.
- **Collaborate with Camp Staff**: Coordinate with other coaches and staff to align schedules and special events.
- **Be a Role Model**: Exhibit leadership, positivity, and passion for sports.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience coaching or playing a specific sport at a competitive level (youth, high school, club, or college).
- Strong knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and development strategies.
- Experience working with kids in camps, clinics, or team settings.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High-energy, patient, and adaptable coaching style.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to actively demonstrate sport-specific movements (e.g., shooting, dribbling, serving, etc.).
- Stamina to participate in physical activity for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting/carrying equipment (e.g., balls, nets, cones).

**Schedule & Details**:

- Summer 2025 season (exact weeks TBD based on availability and performance).
- Shifts between 8am-6pm; hours vary weekly.
- **Note**: While we aim to assign sport-specific roles, flexibility to assist with multi-sport activities may be required.

**About Champ Camp**:
We welcome campers ages 4-13 for a summer packed with skill-building, teamwork, and fun Our program blends sport-specific training with classic camp excitement—think drills, scrimmages, team chants, and mini-tournaments. Coaches get to focus on their sport while helping kids grow as athletes and teammates.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 days

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
