**Position Summary**:
As our **HR Generalist,**you will be the main HR point of contact for employees and people leaders, the HR Generalist plays a key role in shaping the employee experience. You’ll provide expert guidance on employee relations, HR programs, and processes—ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with legislation, while championing best practices across the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries, ranging from simple employee questions to more complex requests.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, practices and collective agreements, and coach leaders on implementation.
- Maintain ongoing involvement in HR discussions, especially when policies or procedures are updated or revised.
- Ability to navigate a changing work environment by managing multiple priorities and tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and support HRIS and payroll data integrity.
- Support the compensation process by guiding leaders on job descriptions, participating in evaluations, and recommending salaries.
- Administer disability cases in collaboration with external providers and internal teams, ensuring smooth return-to-work transitions, including establishing accommodation plans
- Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of new hire orientation, creating a welcoming and informative onboarding experience.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or post-graduate certification in Human Resources Management required
- Possess or working towards Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years supporting people leaders in delivering HR practices.
- Demonstrated experience across multiple HR functions, with exposure to collective agreements administration, grievance and arbitration process.
- Sound Understanding of HR regulations, legislation and governance as it prevails in Ontario and TSSA, managing work in compliance to the regulations and standards.
- Demonstrated consistent communication and engagement with all levels of staff to foster a positive and compliant workplace culture.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in maintaining HR records and data.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
