**Overview**
We seek a reliable, experienced tutor for two children (Grade 1 and Grade 6) in the Abalone / NE / Abbeydale area.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop personalized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student learning objectives.
- Communicate effectively with students to explain concepts clearly and encourage questions.
- Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Collaborate with parents and teachers to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of tutoring/teaching experience with the Canadian school system.
- Must be able to teach in person
- Able to start immediately
- Proven experience working with children, preferably in a tutoring environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
- A degree in education or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory. University students or recent graduates are welcome
Not Ideal for a High School student or someone looking for a short-term job
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
