**Position Overview**

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive **Awake Residential Night Worker** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents throughout the night. You will support adults, children, or youth with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, or behavioral support needs in a residential setting.

**This is an**_**awake**_ **position — staff must remain alert and awake for the entire duration of the shift. Sleeping during shifts is not permitted.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and ensure the safety, security, and well-being of residents throughout the night.
- Provide individual support and guidance, following care plans and behavior support strategies.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including medical situations or behavioral incidents.
- Administer medications according to established policies and procedures.
- Communicate with After-Hours services or emergency personnel as needed.
- Complete accurate and detailed documentation, including nightly reports and incident notes.
- Assist individuals with personal care needs, including lifts and transfers, if required.
- Conduct regular safety checks to ensure all doors, windows, and alarms are secure.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform light household duties such as laundry, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Participate actively in staff meetings and maintain communication with team members.
- Follow all company policies, care plans, and individual support protocols.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in Social Services, Human Services, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Previous experience in residential care or supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral needs is an asset.
- Strong crisis intervention, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient with computer programs such as ShareVision, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

- **Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle** (with business insurance and $3M liability, if applicable)
- **Clear Driver’s Abstract**:

- **Mandt Certification** (training available upon hire)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
