**Bravelight Youth Services: Youth Worker (Day, Evening, and Overnight Shifts)**

Since 2011, Bravelight Youth Services Inc. has been a guiding light in the Fraser Cascades area (Chilliwack, Agassiz), offering pivotal outreach and residential services to youth under the care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). Our focus is on fostering a therapeutic culture in our homes, ensuring a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children and youth experiencing challenging times.

**Your Opportunity**:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated **Youth Workers** to join our team across all shifts:

- **Day (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)**:

- **Evening (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)**:

- **Overnight (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)**

Each shift plays a vital role in supporting children and youth affected by family crises and behavioural challenges. Whether helping with daily routines, fostering positive interactions in the evening, or ensuring safety overnight, you will be part of a team that creates stability and meaningful impact for young people in care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to children and youth during assigned shifts.
- Monitor and respond to behavioural, emotional, and daily living needs.
- Ensure the safety, security, and overall well-being of residents and the home environment.
- Support morning, after-school, evening, and bedtime routines depending on shift.
- Collaborate with MCFD, healthcare providers, and other professionals when required.
- Maintain detailed and confidential case notes and reports.
- Perform light housekeeping and ensure the home remains a safe, welcoming space.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong communication and behaviour management skills, particularly with adolescents.
- Proficient understanding of adolescent development and trauma-informed practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team across various shifts.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Cultural competency and a non-judgmental, supportive approach.

**Qualifications**:

- Two years of post-secondary education or training in child/youth care or a related field.
- Experience working with children and youth with behavioural challenges is an asset.
- Standard First Aid with CPR certificate.
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check and MCFD HUB check.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle with 3 million liability and business insurance.
- Knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, attachment, and trauma-informed practice.
- Availability for **day, evening, and/or overnight shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.**
