Marketplace Merchandising Specialist

The Marketplace Merchandising Specialist supports the Merchandising team in building a compelling and relevant reward assortment for our customers. In addition to setting up and maintaining products in the global Achievers’ Marketplace catalog, this individual will provide key insights around our assortment selection to ensure we’re offering rewards that meet the evolving needs of our business and customers. This position requires a strong attention to detail, backed by an ability to make data-driven decisions, and a proven ability to work independently, prioritizing their workload while managing multiple requests and projects. The Specialist will be performing analysis to strengthen business decision-making, so analytical thinking and an aptitude for continuous improvement is key.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Product Information Management (70%)**
- Responsible for accurately setting up and maintaining the global product catalog, ensuring price and description accuracy, updating product images, copy, translations, and other assets as needed.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to collect product information in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure adherence to merchandising processes, content guidelines, and standards.
- Data entry of product information, ensuring accurate catalog details for manual product uploads.
- Facilitate product translations with our Localisation team as per regional requirements.
- Support Customer Care with inquiries received pertaining to the Marketplace and catalog assortment.
- Provide analytical support for annual vendor performance reviews.
- Lead ad hoc projects to improve the overall accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product data.

Assortment Reviews and Analysis (20%)**
- Provide robust analysis and key insights that strengthen the expansion of our global assortment and support the team in delivering against annual targets.
- Build and maintain reports to deliver key information and insights on a regularly basis.
- Identify opportunities for new reports or performance analyses that can facilitate more strategic, data-driven decision making.

Platform Support and Enhancements (10%)**
- Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline merchandising workflows and processes and collaborate with the team to implement improvements.
- Support the troubleshooting, reporting, and investigation of technical bugs.
- Support documentation initiatives to educate and enable new workflows.
**Job Qualifications**:
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree in merchandising, business, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Retail, eCommerce, or related field
- Previous experience working with a PIM (Product Information Management System) is an asset
- Proven analytical skills and experience working with large volumes of data
- Proficient with MS Excel (knowledge of VBA and Macros an asset)
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritizing workload while managing multiple requests and projects
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Very adaptable, able to work in an environment with on-going change
- Strong desire and a proven aptitude for continuous learning
- Fluency in multiple languages is a bonus.
