Performs all necessary clerical duties associated with the daily operation for nursing including recording system, filing, faxing drug orders, typing, photocopying, ordering supplies, mail sorting and delivery.
- Arranges schedules and confirms tours, care conferences and Committee meetings.
- Purchases, receives and controls office, resident care supplies, resident bracelets, maintains purchase orders and inventory controls.
- Establishes and confirms resident dental or specialist, hairdressing and outside appointments.
- Places calls to Physicians for outstanding physicals required by residents.
- Schedules replacement RN/RPN and PSW staff for sick time, lieu time, and vacation time.
- Delivers orders to Home Areas and stores or distributes supplies as requested.
- Receives and puts in order all discharged charts and maintains discharged filing system.
- Daily organization of Resident Files/Charts
- Information includes but is not limited to Resident Admission, Discharge or Transfer
- Update and distribute resident status list/and emergency lists on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for the preparation of Nursing Staff Payroll for the Home and of the maintenance of all Payroll records.
- Supervise PT clerical relief staff as follows: 1. Provide work assignments for PT shifts2. Supervise quality and timeliness of assignments3. Provide development and Training as well as constructive criticism.
- Participate and encourage all nursing staff to attend General Staff Meetings and Monthly In-services
- Ensures all nursing staff has up to date information regarding policy, procedures and related working instruction.
- Ensures clerical relief staff is presentable in appearance, courteous to all within the home, and attend for shifts as scheduled.
- Prioritize daily work assignments for self and clerical relief staff.
- Meet deadlines as requested or provide sufficient notice when unable to do so.
- Any and all other tasks as assigned.

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
