Inventory Specialist

**In this position you will have the opportunity to**:

- May hire, coach, mentor and evaluate employees; provide clear communication and leadership
- Act as back up to the Site Materials Manager
- Oversee storeroom activities including, stocking, tagging, pulling and kitting, delivery of parts, general housekeeping, etc
- Provide support for site maintenance
- Interface with scheduler/planner to manage work order plans
- Perform and assist with Cycle/Physical Counts of inventory
- Interface with local Mill Management to identify critical spares
- Disperse and track Mill Maintenance Repairs using the material release process
- Manage parts return
- Perform regular maintenance as necessary
- Assist Materials Manager with raw material inventory management
- Identify mill specific process improvement opportunities
- Analyze inventory usage to optimize min/max levels and reorder points
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as necessar

**What do I need to be successful?**:

- 3 - 5 years storeroom or equivalent experience
- 3 - 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1 - 3 years supervisory experience
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- Knowledge of parts and materials
- Knowledge of effective supervisory and management practices and techniques
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good decision making, organizational and team building skills
- Ability to operate a computer and supporting software

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
