**Acara Solutions is looking for an HR Coordinator on a contract to perm position in Concord.**
Morning schedule Monday-Friday $60-65k salary.
As the HR Coordinator you will undertake a wide range of HR tasks while providing advice in the following areas: teammate performance and development, employee relations, disability claims and health and safety.
Experience working in a warehousing or distribution environment is an asset due to the nature of advice and support that is generally sought from managers.
**General Duties**:
- Provide guidance, direction, and advice to management regarding employment related issues including but not limited to the interpretation of company policies & procedures, performance management, training & development, terminations.
- Administers consistent interpretation of Ontario employment law, policies, procedures and programs when providing advice to managers and guidance to employees.
- Make recommendations for improvement of policies, procedures and programs and implements initiatives.
- Participate in the documentation of employee files related to disciplinary and other HR processes.
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of HR programs.
- Maintains employee files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Self-starter, highly organized, ability to prioritize, strong attention to detail and goal oriented.
- Assist with disability claim management by supporting employees and managers through the claims process including but not limited to maintaining regular communication and facilitating return to work plans.
- Ability to handle situations professionally with sensitivity, confidentiality, diplomacy and tact.
- Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position.

- Excellent communication and people skills; must be a team player.
- Solid knowledge of the relevant policies, labour law, employment standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
- Practices continuous learning by keeping abreast of Human Resources knowledge.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment or providing HR advice in this work environment an asset.
**Must Haves and Nice to Haves**:
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business, specializing in Human resources is preferred or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years' experience as an HR administrator/coordinator or in the HR field.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
