Job Description for: Pub Server/Bartender

Reports to: Pub Manager

**Job Summary**

The role of server/bartender is to maintain a strong relationship with our guests, employees and hotel management. To ensure that our guests receive professional, courteous, friendly and efficient service. Customer “Experience” will always be a focus, through anticipating the guest’s needs via sight, sound, feel, touch and taste during roles such as table service, the arrival process, and other guest services required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- The employee greets guests to the pub in a friendly manner.
- The server/bartender is responsible for the customer's needs which normally will include a menu and suggestions regarding specials for both food and beverages including wines and ensures regularly checked to ensure those needs are met in an expedient manner.
- Providing clean utensils and condiments for customers as well as ensuring removal of dishes, glasses or bottles that are no longer being used by the customer.
- The employee is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of their work areas as well as furnishings

woodwork, glass such as windows, doors and mirrors. Basic housekeeping of the Pub including the deck when open.
- Obtaining supplies to adequately stock all items utilized in a food and beverage full service establishment.
- Ensuring that tables are continually kept wiped down and cleaned as soon as possible after guest leaves.
- Assist guests with general questions and enquiries
- Answering phones and transferring calls
- Knowledge about the policies and procedures for completing cash outs for your deposits as determined by accounting.
- Communication as required to fulfill duties on a timely basis
- Each server is responsible for billing customers, collecting payment from customers and completing cash out sheets correctly in accordance with the prescribed method from accounting, as well as ensuring their cash is always safe and deposited at the shift end.
- Any other requests made by Hotel Management
- Arrive at work dressed in proper attire which is kept clean and neat

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

- Holidays
- Weekend availability

Shift:

- Night shift

**Experience**:

- Full Service Servers: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Serve It Right Saskatchewan (preferred)
