**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Collect and label blood samples accurately, adhering to established protocols for specimen handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely processing of samples for laboratory testing.
- Document all procedures performed and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with medical regulations.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and laboratory practices to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist from an accredited program is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety protocols is an advantage.
