Key accountabilities:

- Demonstrate Safety & Environmental leadership, working towards goal of zero injuries and zero incidents by ensuring all employees receive safety indoctrination and training, conducting regular safety meetings, addressing & correcting safety issues and maintaining a positive and professional attitude towards safety that supports teamwork and the employees in achieving the department’s safety goals.
- Develops and maintain department procedures to improve safety and productivity.
- Ensures crews are trained on jobs they are required to perform, prepares documentation on all employee training records. Evaluates any reported unsafe work practices.
- Monitoring hourly staffing requirements based on shipping and repulping activity, communicates needs to scheduler. Manages resources for the safe and accurate loading of truck shipments, and maintains the highest levels of quality and productivity. Approves timecards, authorizes, tracks leaves and notifies the payroll department.
- Operations troubleshooting, maintenance coordination and lockout program administration for Kraft and Shipping areas.
- Manages inbound kraft pulp deliveries and offloading of finishing and dunnage supplies.
- Ensure sufficient quantity and type of kraft pulp is available in warehouse and repulped to storage tanks to meet paper machine requirements
- Manages lowerator and sorting deck equipment, kraft repulper, and all mobile equipment used in shipping and repulping operations. Ensures that warehouse and ramp facilities are maintained to facilitate safe material handling.
- Inventory Specialist: Paper and kraft warehouse inventory management, including tasks in SAP.
- Will be trained to provide relief truck planning duties when required.
