We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team for an OpenInvoice project. This role will report to a CPMO project manager, work closely with business/functional areas, and provide overall project planning, management, coordination, and execution for assigned projects. This opportunity will appeal to an individual who enjoys working independently and in a team environment, demonstrates effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and facilitation skills, is adaptable, and can effectively complete deliverables in a timely fashion. The Business Analyst will utilize standard best practices to support activity execution and has a key understanding of the transition to operations and the development of processes and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and participate in process reviews or development and updates to or creation of associated documentation, working with stakeholders.
- Participate in standards and process creation, reviews, updates, development, and documentation.
- Deliver and/or participate in standards, policies, or process education and awareness.
- Successfully engage, drive, and facilitate multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously.
- Work independently with users to define concepts or workflows and under the direction of project managers.
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates using natural language.
- Be the liaison between the project teams, technology teams, and support teams.
- Manage and execute required stakeholder engagement across project deliverables to support the project plan and scope outline.
- Work closely with the People Readiness team (OCM, Communications, Learning) to help identify/validate stakeholder change impacts, provide technical review of communications, and contribute to the training curriculum and learning content.
- Manage and participate in the Transition to Operations scope and activities for services and/or products built by the project team.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the necessary artifacts such as functional requirements, use cases, workflow diagrams, and context diagrams.

**Position Requirements**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- At least ten years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity
- Understanding and ability to develop business processes in Signavio
- Understanding of Data systems and warehouses and the Extraction, Transformation and Loading of Data between systems.
- History in either Finance and/or Supply Chain.
- Direct working experience or project experience in business areas or functions
- Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience is considered an asset
- Organization and relationship-building skills

- Displays emotional intelligence; demonstrates self-awareness and remains calm under pressure
