Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Provide safety training to employees on various safety topics
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with management to ensure safety compliance at all levels
- Monitor and update safety protocols based on industry standards and regulations

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures
- Familiarity with training development and fabricating safety materials
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels**:

- **Driving to various locations
- JHSC Committee development and maintenance
- JHSC and First Aid training
- Monthly facility, first aid, and fire extinguisher logs for all locations
- WSIB Compliance - Filings, Return to Work, and Modified Duties
- Respond to emergency situations and facilitate incident/accident investigations as well as complete any necessary paperwork
- Company-wide COVID-19 policies and procedures
- Binder creation and maintenance of H&S documentation
- Yearly H&S policy and procedure updates
- Equipment maintenance schedules
- Other responsibilities as required or requested

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- University Degree, College Diploma or Certifications in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience
- Certified member of JHSC will be considered an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- High level of professionalism and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to travel to various locations
- CPR training and WSIB experience is an asset.
