The Westin Bear Mountain is currently recruiting for the position of **Second Cook.**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
- Practice FIFO to minimize food wastage.
- Continually strive to improve food preparation and presentations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Follow recipes, and maintain standards.
- Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Organize and maintain the proper MEP according to the level of business
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience in a 5-star environment.
- A sound understanding of the culinary arts.
- Passionate about the industry and the food you create in the position.
- Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline is an asset.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with others to promote a cohesive team environment.
- Ability to focus and remain calm during service
- Food Safe Qualified, required
**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour
