**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to, and guided by, the Health Services Manager or designate(s), the Clinical Lead applies therapeutic and practical knowledge to clients within Community Mental Health & Addictions (CMHA) and is responsible for providing leadership to members of the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of safe, effective, efficient, high-quality, client-centred care. The clinical lead participates and leads quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives at the clinic
As an integral member of the Health Services Team, the Clinical Lead participates in the planning, development and provision of services and fosters the functional integration of CMHA to ensure maximum access and inter-disciplinary collaboration is achieved within a caring, client-centred environment.
The Clinical Lead exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of NSH and the mission, vision and strategic directions and incorporates the core competencies and values of the organization into daily practice. The Clinical Lead may also perform other related duties as required.
Please Note: This position is 50% clinically based and 50% administrative duties **_(percentages of time may fluctuate)_** supporting Bedford/Sackville and West Hants Community Mental Health & Addictions teams. May be asked to travel to other site occasionally.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Recognized Master's degree in a health care discipline e.g. Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Masters of Education & Counselling (with clinical undergrad degree) or Social Work required.
- Current registration with the applicable legislated professional body require
- Five years' clinical experience in counselling and psychotherapy, providing assessment and treatment to adults in an interdisciplinary service delivery model.
- Experience providing treatment in an outpatient community setting an asset
- Effective mentoring and clinical leadership skills to support both the academic role and the clinical practice of other team members
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapies for depression and anxiety disorders required; examples of these could be DBT, CPT, ACT; and firm knowledge in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and respect of appropriate and necessary methodologies and philosophies of Mental Health & Addiction
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities, time-sensitive deadlines, stressful situations, working flexible/extended hours
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:
- Permanent Full Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
**Compensation and Incentives**:
$43.50 - $50.72 hourly
