**WORK ILLUSTRATION**:
Responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and operation of transportation initiatives in support of Toronto Hydro’s Climate Action Plan, especially Climate Advisory Services. Partners with cleantech companies and other experts to improve the design and deployment of their climate action transportation programs (e.g. EV charging) for the benefit of Toronto households, businesses, and other customers, as part of advancing the net zero priorities of customers, governments, Toronto Hydro, and other stakeholders. Continuously improves systems and processes to enhance the climate action related initiatives experience.

The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Drives transportation program deliverables (e.g. EV Chargers, EV related storage projects) through partnerships with customers and cleantech organizations including establishing MOU’s, partner agreements, preferred vendor recommendations, manages program safety, provides strategic direction, manages escalation, and engages in regular communications to program stakeholders to continually expand value to customers with integrated grid-side and behind-the-meter solutions in compliance with safety and program parameters
- Leads the development of evaluation criteria for strategies, business opportunities, quality control, project monitoring mechanisms
- Mobilizes and directs a team creating customized climate action plans for customers to guide their climate action journey in relation to transportation initiatives
- Leads their team in developing and cultivating strategic relationships through identification, qualification, partnering with cleantech organizations to facilitate customer-side electrification projects
- Leads market, scenario and feasibility analysis to support business cases consistent with corporate and climate action department services strategies as it relates to transportation, initially bespoke climate action initiatives with a view to create mass market capabilities in the long term
- Proactively conducts environmental scanning and identifies organizational strengths, weaknesses, emerging market opportunities or threats
- Manages vendor relationships and agreements with external service providers (and monitors costs, service levels, performance, safety standards and quality measures as per the agreed upon terms and conditions)
- Manages the day-to-day systems, processes and services provided within and outside the organization by a team of professionals and administrative support staff to execute Climate Action Transportation initiatives

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Undergraduate degree (Engineering, Business, Environmental Science preferred)
- Certificate or diploma in Climate Change (strongly preferred)
- Post graduate degree - MBA, Meng, MSc (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP), an asset
- 7 - 10 years relevant experience in program management, service delivery (utility industry preferred)
- 3 - 5 years progressive project and/or supervisory leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in the area of process management, quality management, project management, business case development and change management
- Strong knowledge of electricity markets, regulation, systems, and technology, as well as DERs, and DSM/CDM
- Exceptional understanding of climate policy and politics at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels
- Good technical understanding of electrical power distribution risks and opportunities associated with electric vehicles of various types (e.g. personal vehicles, fleets, commercial vehicles, buses, transit systems)
- Strong familiarity with cleantech/energy services providers and products, especially related to transportation (e.g. EV chargers, energy storage)
- Strong knowledge of applicable safety and legislative requirements and associated regulations and rules, both in relation to utility distribution systems and customer-owned electric facilities (e.g. Electrical Safety Authority)
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills; highly adept at managing politically charged situations/conversations
- Superior verbal, presentation and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the program and project management theory and practices
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Large volume operational experience, and project and process management skills
- Superior and demonstrated customer and vendor management
